PUPLIC TRANSPORTATION IN VIENNA
Vienna offers an efficient and modern public transport network of underground lines, trams and busses. The congress venue has easy access to the underground system. All hotels are within convenient reach of the congress centre. After arriving by train, bus or taxi at the city center or your hotel, we therefore recommend to purchase a 24-hour ticket (€ 5,-, available at all ticket machines), which allows you to use the complete Vienna public transport system for 24 hours. From Monday, July 24, 2006 you can purchase a ticket for 1 week (€ 12,50), which is valid until Sunday.

Important notice for those of you, who want to explore the Vienna nightlife : the subway stops operating around 0:30, however, there are special „Nightline“ busses, which, however, need extra tickets. For further information about public transport in Vienna please visit: http://info.wien.at/article.asp?IDArticle=9429

RENTAL CARS IN VIENNA
It is not wise to use a rental car to get around in Vienna. Parking place is very rare and expensive in the city center and illegal parking is fined immediately.
